5.6 magnitude quake jolts Xigaze

China's National Seismological Network says an earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale has jolted Xigaze Prefecture in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region.

Sunday morning's quake struck an area bordering the Ngamring and Saga counties at around 4am, local time.

The epicenter was detected at a depth of about 33 kilometers. No casualties have been reported so far.
