This year's Guangzhou Auto Show opened today with than 600 international car makers have gathered at this southern Chinese city of Guangzhou.
The eight-day event is China's third-largest auto show. Mercedez-Benz, General Motors, Ford and Toyota are among exhibitors at this year's show. They hope to capitalize on China's auto market, which has weathered the industry's global slump better than many other countries. Chinese car makers are also showcasing their latest auto innovations at the Guangzhou show.
