Special Report: UN climate change conference in Copenhagen |
A train bearing a green stripe has arrived in Denmark's capital Copenhagen ahead of the climate summit scheduled to open Monday.
On board are 450 United Nation's officials, delegates, climate activists and journalists from Brussels, the Belgian capital.
The journey is intended to underscore the importance of a low-carbon economy. The passengers also hope people will rely more on public transport to reduce vehicle emissions.
After the train's arrival, a small welcoming ceremony was held at a station restaurant.
Danish climate and energy minister Lykke Friss presided over the ceremony. Officials also expressed their hopes for the conference.
