Russia's Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Red Square in Moscow will be closed for three months due to renovations. Work is expected to be completed in time for next year's 65th anniversary of victory against Fascism.

The eternal flame at the tomb has been temporarily moved to the Anti-Fascist War Memorial Hall. Guards stationed at the tomb have also been reassigned to the hall.

Second World War veterans escorted the flame to an armored car. The flame ceremony was attended by Russian Defense Minister, Anatoliy Serdyukov, war veterans and youths.

The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier was opened on May 8th, 1967.
