As Shanghai enters the year of the World Expo, and as the country awaits the year of the tiger, goods catered around those themes have been selling fast during the new year holiday.

Many shops in Yuyuan Garden were offering tiger themed items in anticipation of the coming Spring festival celebrations.

While Haibao, the World Expo's mascot, has seen his image and product all over store shelves. A new 2010 World Expo Franchise store has also just opened in the Garden. The store offers more than 20 product categories, totaling 800 types of special licensed goods.

Tourist, said, "The Expo goods have special meaning. Because the event is quite important and huge."
