Extreme cold, global warming

2010-01-06 14:01 BJT

From North America to East Asia, from Europe to South Asia, people are feeling cold in recent days. Why are temperatures dropping when there's so much talk about global warming?

More than 28 centimeters of snow fell on Seoul on Monday, the heaviest in a single day since South Korea began keeping records in 1937.

Kwon Kyung-ryun, Company employee, said, "It was unavoidable delay in clearing snow from the streets. There was just too much snow to say that the snow removal operation started too late."

In Bangladesh, temperatures have dropped to 8 degrees Celsius in some northern areas. At least 25 people have died.
