The bodies of eight Chinese peacekeepers killed in the massive earthquake in Haiti, have returned to Beijing. A brief memorial was held at the Capital International Airport.

Two days after their bodies were recovered from the debris at the UN mission, the eight fallen Chinese peacekeepers have made the final journey home.

Four were officers of China's peacekeeping force in Haiti. The other four had been sent by the Ministry of Public Security for consultations. They were in talks with UN officials at the UN Stabilization Mission headquarters when the quake struck.
