Hundreds of protesters in Lebanon and across Turkey have demonstrated against Israel's plans to build new housing in east Jerusalem. Protesters are also reacting to unsubstantiated rumors that Jewish extremists are planning to seize the Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem.
In Beirut, protesters gathered outside a United Nations building, where they flew Lebanese, Palestinian and Hezbollah flags and chanted anti-Israeli slogans.
Some protestors carried a model of the Al-Aqsa mosque, Islam's third-holiest shrine.
