Zhao Jing into 200m backstroke final

To highlights of the day's swimming semifinals. Zhao Jing, winner at the Rome World Championship , confirmed her leadership again by taking the top place in the women's 200m backstroke semifinal event.

The 50m backstroke world record holder marched easily into the final by taking the winning time of 2 minutes 10 seconds.

The men's 50m freestyle defending champion Cai Li from Zhejiang team continued his dominance in the event, as he advanced into the final at the top of the standings. He will be up against a major challenger, Shi Runqiang from Guangdong, who is also the Asian record holder of the event.

Men's 100m butterfuly national record holder as well as the defending champion Zhou Jiacheng successfully entered the final of the event. Joining him competing for the gold are Shi Feng from Shanghai team and butterfly veteran Chen Yan from Hebei team.
