Lin Dan beats Hidayat to win men's singles

At the Badminton French Super Series, China's Lin Dan was living up to his nickname, as he took on arch rival Taufik Hidayat of Indonesia in the men's singles title.

"Super Dan" would dominate the affair from start to finish.

Top seed Lin got off to a flying start, taking a 12-6 lead in the first game thanks to his great quickness on the court.

And the Indonesian super star would be dominated the rest of the way, as Lin took the first game 21-6.

Hidayat recovered a bit in the second game, trailing only three points midway, but he couldn't find an effective way to combat Lin's variety of shots.

The Beijing Olympic champion went on to claim the second game 21-15. And wrapped up the match 2-0 to win the French Super Series title for the first time.

Wang Yihan defeats Wang Lin to win women's singles

The women's singles final was an all Chinese affair as young star Wang Yihan took on her veteran teammate Wang Lin. Wang Yihan climbed to the top of the world's ranking recently while Wang Lin slipped to third. Yihan raced to a 12-6 lead in the first game and went on to a steady 21-9 win.

Midway through the second game, Yihan sprained her ankle slightly when hitting a response shot, but she managed to recover soon.

And Wang Yihan would show no ill effects and continue to dominate the court, eventually closing out the second game 21-12. With it, she won the women's title solidify her place as the world No.1.

Ma, Wang edge past Che, Zhao

Fifth seeded Ma Jin and Wang Xiaoli grabbed the women's double title after dispatching their compatriots Cheng Shu and Zhao Yunlei 21-13, 21-8 in straight games.

Indonesia win men's, mixed doubles

In the men's doubles, top seeds, Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan of Indonesia, knocked out Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong of Malaysia to win title.

And in the mixed doubles, the Indonesian pair of Widianto Nova/Natsir Liliyana beat their compatriots Gunawan Hendra Apride/Marissa Vite to triumph.
