The New Jersey Nets are having a tough time of it, with some of their key players out of action due to injury. These include Shane Battier, Devin Harris and Yi Jianlian, but the good news is Yi is expected to be back on the court soon.

Yi Jianlian was able to make it to watch his side take on Denver, an injured leg keeping him on the sidelines. He still has to walk slowly, despite being in the process of revocering. But exactly when he can return to the court still remains a cause for concern.

Yi jianlian, the New Jersey Nets player, says, "Maybe in about four weeks, but it depends on the recovery. Maybe sooner or later than four."

The nets were having a bad time facing Denver at home. They played as well as they have all season in the first half, but still only led by a slim advantage.

Chauncey Billups then scored the first seven points of the third quarter to get the Nuggets rolling, and they never stopped after that.

The nets lost the game 122-94, their fifth defeat since the opening of the season. This is also the worst result in their recent 13 years history.

Lakers beat Rockets in overtime thriller

In other action, the LA Lakers took on the Houston Rockets.

Former Rockets' forward Ron Artest scored a 3-pointer that put the Lakers up 92-89 with 30 seconds remaining.

But Houston's Trevor Ariza, who helped the Lakers to last season's NBA title, answered with his own 3-pointer to force overtime.

The Lakers had trailed by seven early in the fourth before Bryant made 10 points in a row for his team. In overtime, he twice put the Lakers ahead with jump shots and tallied six points in the extra session. He scored 42 points in the game.

Andrew Bynum scored the winning basket for the Lakers with only 24.7 seconds left in overtime. The Lakers finally won the game by a one point margin 103-102.
