Argentina's football team have revealed the new jersey they will use when they battle for the World Cup in South Africa in 2010.

After an orchestral version of the national anthem backed by a group of Argentina's fans, an image of the new jersey was projected onto a large screen. Argentina last won the World Cup in Mexico in 1986. They had a turbulent ride through the qualifying round but finally secured a position in their final game against Uruguay. The jersey is similar to past versions, with only some minor changes. On hand to present it were Argentine Football Organization President Julio Grondona and national team veteran Juan Sebastian Veron.

Juan Sebastian Veron of team Argentina says, "I think it's the symbol, the flag for our country. There's nothing better. I've put on the jersey on a lot of different occasions with different fabrics, different models and I think this one is without a doubt the best, the nicest."
