Tiger Woods may be playing in his first Australian tournament for 11 years, but it seems to have done nothing to affect his game. The world number one powered into the lead with a 6 under par round of 66 in the Australian Masters.
Woods delivered a master-class for local fans with a round that included seven birdies and just a single bogey in Melbourne.

Woods started his round at the tenth tee, and by the fourth hole he was really finding his range. A superb tee shot at the sixth hole took Woods just in front of the green where a deft touch with his second shot gave him a short putt for another birdie. An impressive iron shot from the eighth set him up nicely for another birdie as the ball bounced onto the green.
