The new season of the CBA tips off this weekend. Among the foreign players who will be taking part, the biggest name is former NBA player Stromile Swift.

The 30-year-old was the second overall pick of the 2000 NBA draft and signed with the Vancouver Grizzlies. He played for the Houston Rockets along with Yao Ming in the 05-06 season.

Swift signed with the Shandong Golden Lions last month after a three-day tryout. The team finished 8th in the 18-team CBA franchise in the 08-09 season.
