UN chief voices Iran nuke concerns

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has voiced serious concern about Iran's construction of a new uranium enrichment facility.

Ban expressed his concern while meeting with Iran's president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

The UN chief called on Iran to fully implement Security Council resolutions and cooperate with the IAEA to resolve concerns over its nuclear program.

Ban also urged Tehran to engage in constructive negotiations as quickly as possible.

 has insisted the facility near the holy city of Qom is legal and open for inspection by the IAEA.
