Israel's cabinet has rejected the endorsement of the UN report that could bring charges of war crimes against the country, for its part in the war on Gaza.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to launch a lengthy diplomatic battle to de-legitimize the charges.
Netanyahu has warned the report could undermine US sponsored peace initiatives in the Middle East.
He said he would object to Israelis standing trial for war crimes. The Israeli Finance Minister, argued the country has the right to defend its people against terrorism.
The Jewish state, said continued focus on its actions in the Gaza conflict, could delay talks toward a peace deal and the establishment of a Palestinian state.
