A huge fire has engulfed an oil depot in Western India. At least five people are dead, with 25 others feared trapped.

Two huge explosions rocked the facility, located in the state of Rajasthan, before the blaze broke out.

The depot, which lies 16 kilometers south of the state capital Jaipur, stores petroleum, kerosene, and diesel fuel for several state-owned oil companies.

Rajasthan's top official, Ashok Gehlot, visited hospitalized victims late Thursday night.

He says that people living near the facility have been told to evacuate the area. Surrounding shops are closed, and traffic has been diverted as well.
