A special French envoy arrived in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Jack Lang, appointed by French President Nicolas Sarkozy, will examine France's relations with the DPRK and the ongoing nuclear issue.

His visit is expected to lead to a report, analyzing the possibility of establishing diplomatic relations with the DPRK.

Last week in Beijing, Lang said he was looking forward to meeting with high-ranking DRPK officials during his visit to Pyongyang. Lang made a trip to South Korea last month, to discuss the nuclear issue.
