US special representativeto visit DPRK

The U.S. State Department has confirmed the country's special representative, Stephen Bosworth will visit the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

State Department spokesman Philip Crowley, says the purpose is to facilitate an early resumption of the six-party talks and to secure the DPRK's reaffirmation of the 6 party talks, September 2005 joint statement, including verifiable and peaceful denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
