Demonstrators took to the streets of the Philippines' capital, protesting the upcoming visit of US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton amid allegations of human rights abuse and anger over a military pact with the US.

On the eve of Clinton's visit, protesters ran through the streets of Manila, attempting to storm the US embassy, but were pushed back by police. Minor scuffles ensued. Protesters are demanding a treaty to be revoked, that allows the entry of US forces into the country for joint exercises with the Philippine military.
