France is carrying out a nationwide program of A/H1N1 vaccinations. Groups thought to be at the highest risk, will receive shots first.

About 6 million people have been invited to receive the injection in vaccination centers, including those with chronic health problems and pregnant women.

The official campaign launched Monday, but the first doses were made available to selected groups Thursday.

French Health Minister Roselyne Bachelot was one of the first to get vaccinated. Vaccinations against A/H1N1 flu will be available to all French schoolchildren on a voluntary basis starting November 25th.
