With Christmas fast approaching, Santas from all over the world competed at the annual World Championships in Switzerland.

20 Santa teams gathered in Sam-naun, a town on the eastern Alps on Saturday. They competed in various categories, including bobsleds, organizing Christmas presents, sculpting with snow and decorating gingerbread.

They also competed in climbing down a chimney --- a-must-have skill for any aspiring Santa. After it was all said and done, the team "Teleschmutzlis" from the the host country ended up with the championship.

Christoph Kunz, Head of Samnaun Tourist Office, said, "There are teams who trained in advance, The true Santa, of course, is prepared for the World Championship, but it is quite laborious because there are sportive challenges. Speed counts, but also creativity."
