32 national teams will play in 8 groups, starting from June 11th, next year. Host nation South Africa will face Mexico in the opener. Brazil got the draw for the toughest group, facing Portugal and the Ivory Coast in the first round. The draw was kind to the other top teams.
European champion Spain will face Switzerland, Honduras and Chile. Four Asian teams -- Japan, South Korea, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and Australia, will also compete for football's most coveted championship.
