Special Report: UN climate change conference in Copenhagen |
US President Barack Obama has arrived in Denmark to join fellow world leaders on the final day of an international climate conference.
The White House hopes the US President's last-hour involvement will help seal a broad agreement to combat global warming. So far, the 193-nation meeting is running into serious problems reaching an agreement.
Obama's arrival is bringing little new to the conference, beyond pleas for other nations to step up, along with earnest promises of US seriousness. In addition to the climate summit, Obama also plans to meet with other leaders from Denmark, China, Brazil and Russia.
