President Hu Jintao and the central government delegation are in Macao to attend the celebration activities.

Shortly after his arrival, President Hu attended the opening ceremony of Macao's new Science Museum. He then had a brief conversation with the SAR Chief Executive Edmund Ho Hau Wah and other major officials.

Hu Jintao spoke highly of Ho's contribution to the implementation of the "one country, two systems" principle in the last ten years.

Ho Hau Wah says the central government has been very supportive to Macao's stability and prosperity and it is an honor to serve Macao's people.

Hu Jintao also met with Hong Kong Chief Executive Donald Tsang Yam-kuen and major officials from their government. He says both Hong Kong and Macao prove the success of the "one country, two systems" principle, and can learn from each other.

Later President Hu visited a local household. He chatted with the family about their life and their future expectations. Hu Jintao also had a short tour at a garbage disposal center.
