Car bomb hits Baghdad police crime lab, at least 18 killed

A suicide car bomber has killed at least 18 and injured dozens more in a strike against a police crime lab in central Baghdad. It happened a day after several hotels were hit by suicide attacks. On Monday, at least 41 people were killed and over a hundred others were injured.

Officials say the majority of those killed on Tuesday were police officers. They worked in the forensic investigation office at Tahariyat Square in the central neighborhood of Karradah.

At least 82 people were reported injured.

Among those confirmed killed were 12 police officers and six civilians who were visiting the office.
