Russia will supply Libya with weapons worth a total of 1.8 billion U.S. dollars. Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin made the announcement on Saturday during a meeting with Vladimir Gorodetsky, Director General of the Izhevsk Machinery Plant.
The plant is famous for its production of small arms. But Putin said that the deal is not only for small arms and light weapons.
Although he stopped short of specifying which kinds of armament were included in the deal.
