China sends US$2 mln in aid to Chile

A Chinese plane carrying 2 million US dollars-worth of aid has arrived in Chile's capital, Santiago.

Chinese Ambassador to Chile, Lv Fan, presented the provisions to Chilean Foreign Ministry officials. The 90-ton aid package included 10-thousand blankets, 700 tents, 100 power generators and two water purification units. The Chinese Foreign Ministry, Defense Ministry and other government agencies teamed up to assemble the aid package in just one day. Its resources came from several Chinese cities including Beijing, Shijiazhuang, Nanjing, Weihai and Suzhou.
