Peru evaluates quake preparedness

Peruvian authorities are evaluating the country's preparedness for an earthquake.

They have warned that hundreds of buildings in the capital of Lima would not sustain a quake similar to Chile's.

Spurred by Chile's magnitude 8.8 earthquake, residents in Lima have taken part in an earthquake drill organized by local authorities.

So far this year, Peru has been hit by 25 magnitude 3 to 5 quakes.
