Thousands of students have rioted, after a South African hip hop star accused of murdering four teenagers was granted bail.
Protesters responded violently to the decision. The star, known as Jub Jub, was involved in a car crash earlier this month which claimed the lives of four teenagers and critically injured two others.
Media reports say Jub Jub and his associate were allegedly drag-racing on a two-way road, when one of their cars drove in the wrong lane towards oncoming traffic.
The two face four charges of murder, two of attempted murder, reckless and negligent driving and driving under the influence of drugs. The trial has been scheduled for next month.
