China is preparing to export its first domestically built train to India.

More than a dozen trains built in the eastern city of Nanjing will hit the tracks later this year for Mumbai's new subway network.

The state-of-the-art train has been built to the highest technological standards.

It's the first in a fleet of 18 trains that will be part of a new metro rail corridor project in India's largest city, Mumbai.

Zhao Dabin, Vice President of Nanjing Puzhen Rolling Stock Co., said, "Mumbai is a populous coastal city that is consistently hot and humid. This train has been built to be waterproof, shock-resistant and insulate noise."
