Special Report: 7.1-magnitude Quake Hit Qinghai, China |

Meanwhile, medical workers have spared no efforts in taking care of the earthquake victims. Doctors say what they worry about most is whether the injured can make it through the fierce weather on the plateau.

At a newly set up relief station, doctors started to treat the injured immediately upon arrival. They say night time is the hardest period for the wounded, due to cold temperatures and the lack of oxygen.

This little girl was three days old when the quake struck. She lost her parents before being given a name.
