Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haneya has called for the release of all Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails at a rally to mark Prisoners' Day.

Haneya addressed a group of protesters in Gaza City on Saturday. Israel and Hamas have held multiple rounds of prisoner swap talks.

Israel has been reluctant to meet Hamas' demand to release dozens of Palestinians involved in attacks on Israelis.

Ismail Haneya, Hamas Prime Minister, said, "We are committed to our responsibilities and obligations - political, informative, and legal - to our prisoners in Israeli jails. No one can shut their eyes as long as those prisoners are still in Israeli jails."
