Memorial ceremonies held for quake victims

Memorial ceremonies have also been held in other places around the country.

A memorial ceremony was held in Beijing Tibet middle school.

Eight hundred Tibetan students paid their condolences to the quake victims.

Student said, "We held fairs to raise money."

"We support Yushu people. We wish them a quick recovery."

In the northeastern city of Shenyang, a ceremony was also held in a middle school.

35 Tibetan students from Qinghai are studying in the school. 30 of them lost family members.

This morning, together with 5 thousand schoolmates, they stood for one minute's silence to pay tribute to their lost loved ones.

Each student folded a paper crane sending wishes to the victims to rest in peace.

In Tianjin Medical University, students stood in the shape of a heart with the character of Yushu in it. It means the quake victims will always in their hearts.

In Sichuan province, survivors of the quake two years ago held a ceremony to honor Yushu quake victims.

People in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region also paid their condolences to the victims besides the Yellow River.
