Thai riot police have pulled back from a barricade erected by the "red shirts" in Bangkok's Silom business district as protesters also retreated to their camp behind it.

Although the police have pulled back, protests are continuing, a day after grenade attacks killed three people.

The relatives of the dead laid flowers at the bloodstains to remember their loved ones.

The government says the grenade attacks on Thursday, which also wounded 75 people, were fired from the red shirt protest area. But red-shirt leaders deny the blame.
