Chinese President Xi Jinping also addressed a working dinner for international delegation heads at the nuclear summit.

Xi stressed the urgent need to combat nuclear terrorism amid a new threat of international terrorist activities. He emphasized two new trends of the current nuclear security situation, namely, the nuclear terrorism threat with increasing risks of nuclear proliferation, and a stronger line of defense for international nuclear security.

The president said China looks forward to conferring with other countries on strengthening the international nuclear security framework and further consolidating the line of defense.
