Chinese President Xi Jinping's remarks on the fourth Nuclear Security Summit have again reaffirmed China's commitment to safeguarding global nuclear security. During a press conference after the summit, Foreign Minister Wang Yi said China's proposal on promoting international cooperation on nuclear security was welcomed by all participating countries.

He said the report submitted by China demonstrates the country's nuclear security achievements. Talking about the meeting between the Chinese President and US President Barack Obama, Wang said it laid a good foundation for the sound development of future Sino-US relations.

On the economic front, Wang said the Chinese president reassured the world by expounding China's development strategies, including its economic and social construction plans.
