In the NBA Playoffs, the Golden State Warriors looking to take a 2-0 lead in their Western Conference Quarter-Final series against the Houston Rockets.

But the reigning league champions would have to play without MVP Steph Curry, who has been suffering from a nagging ankle injury. And with the Chef out of action, the rest of the Dubs would need to rally and pick up the slack.

Curry tries to test out the ankle during pre-game warm-ups -- but he, the coaches, and medical staff decide that he shouldn't chance it -- so the MVP would spend the evening on the bench wearing a suit instead.

Houston takes advantage of his absence early, as Donatas Motiejunas gives the visitors a 6-3 lead.

But G-State soon takes charge, and then Andre Igoudala drills a trey to put the hosts up by nine. Iggy flashing his Finals MVP form from last year, and Curry wants to see more.

We head to the second quarter, where Dwight Howard hands off to Patrick Beverly, and he strikes from behind the arc. That helps the Rockets cut the deficit to four.

Both teams continue to jack up three-pointers. Harrison Barnes misses, but Andrew Bogut taps to Klay Thompson, who is on target. He would have 34, and the hosts lead by nine once again.

After half-time Igoudala finds Bogut for the jam, and Golden State remains in command of the contest.

James Harden looks to keep H-Town close as he sinks three of his 28 points in the final minute of the third Q, and the gap is down to four.

But Golden State continues to hold them at bay. Draymond Green to Shaun Livingston, who starts for Curry and scores 16.

Green then makes his presence felt with a steal, before passing downcourt to Igoudala, who drives in for the lay-up. Iggy with 18. The Warriors would win by nine, and now lead the series two games to none.
