WADA, the World Anti-Doping Agency has halted its accreditation of China's National Anti-Doping Laboratory. The suspension could be up to four months.

The decision came after the lab was found to have submitted two false negative results during blind tests last October. The lab can no longer conduct any WADA-related activities, including all analysis of urine and blood samples.  Samples will be transported to another, accredited, facility.

The Beijing lab can appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport within 21 days. The lab says it has conducted a comprehensive analysis and improved its testing method, which could meet WADA's latest requirements.  It says it will apply for reinstatement as soon as possible.
