Seven-time champ Roger Federer would face Marin Cilic. The big Croat not afraid of the big moment, as he famously beat the Swiss in the semi-finals of the U-S Open two years ago, en route to his only major title.

And it looks like the Croat would be on his way to another victory, already up a set, he is able to whip a passing shot for a winner, and the ninth seed takes the frame 6-4, to take a 2-set lead.

The third seed and perennial Centre Court favourite, Federer would fight back and grab the third set, but is on the roped in the fourth. But the Swiss Express unleashes a superb backhand that eludes Cilic and stays in. Fed would fend off five match points in the frame and takes the set 6-4 to set up a decider.

The fifth set would be close, but the 17-time grand slam champ would be able to outduel his opponent, check out this ridiculous backhand winner -- Cilic can only watch in amazement.

A forehand winner in the eighth game saw Federer break to lead 5-3, and a timely ace on match point gave him a 6-7, 4-6, 6-3, 7-6, 6-3 victory, coming back from 2-sets down and a place in the Wimbledon semi-finals for the 11th time in his career.

Scot outlasts Tsonga 7-6, 6-1, 3-6, 4-6, 6-1 to advance

Ivan Lendl on the right would watch his pupil Andy Murray battle Jo-Wilfired Tsonga.

The Scot at the top of your screen would be on form, despite being in the defensive on this point, he unloads a lob, that Tsonga cannot reach, and it lands in. Murray takes the openers in a tiebreak 12-10.

Murray would grab the second in just 26 minutes, and lead 2-sets-to-love. Tsonga though would fight back and leads 4-2 in the third, and seems to be in control on this point, moving the world number two all over the court, but the two-time major winner, would prevail in this rally, with a winner down the line. The Frenchman would grab the set 6-3.

The fourth set would be a tense affair, but it was Tsonga who played the key points better, and gets a break in the ninth game, with a backhand winner, that helps him take the frame 6-4 to send the match into a decisive fifth set.

After Federer's heroics earlier in the day, a second Centre Court comeback seemed possible. But Murray would reject that notion with a fierce forehand, and some wild celebrations! The Scot leads 2-love.

Murray powered into 5-1 lead, and converted his first match point with an ace to book his place in the final four and sustain his challenge for a second Wimbledon crown.

In the other matches, sixth seed Milos Raonic beat Sam Querrey in four sets to advance. It is the third time in his career that he has reached a Grand Slam semi-final, equalling the Canadian record set by Eugenie Bouchard. He will face Federer for a spot in the final. Meanwhile, 10th seed Tomas Berdych cruised past Lucas Pouille in straight sets, he gets Murray next.
