Nedved appointed as ambassador for Chinese Super League

The Chinese Super League of football is once again trying to promote itself with the help of a famous face. Pavel Nedved, the former Czech international, has signed on to become the circuit's new ambassador.

The announcement coming at a press conference in Beijing. Nedved has apparently struck a three-year agreement with the CSL to help promote China's version of the beautiful game.

On top of public appearances, the former midfielder will be asked to conduct youth training clinics in China. Nedved, got a first hand look at some of the teams he will be promoting, as he took in this weekend's match between Hebei Fortune and Guangzhou R&F.

The Czech athlete is the second notable foreign talent to take on this role, as former England and Manchester United captain David Beckham held the position for a year, starting in March 2013.
