Chinese men's basketball team was looking to bounce back after suffering a 57-point loss to the two-time defending champions from the USA. Yi Jianlian's side would face a stiff test in their second contest -- facing former European champs France.

It was tight early in the first quarter -- but the French would take control in the second -- Boris Diaw and Nicolas Batum hit consecutive three-pointers as Les Bleus would outscore the Asian champs 23-9 in the Q to forge ahead.

The Europeans would coasted the rest of the way -- and grab an 88-60 victory.

Former NBA player Yi Jianlian had a team-high 19 points and six rebounds, for China, while Wang Zhelin finished with 11 in the loss.

So to the standings, the U-S are two-and-oh, after beating Venezuela 113-69. Australia are second after their win over Serbia. France are fourth. Venezuela and China are still looking for their first wins.
