Argentine president Mauricio Macri was the first among G20 world leaders to arrive. This is Macri’s first visit to China since taking office in 2015. Argentina will be the host country for the G20 Summit in 2018.

On Thursday night, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, as well as Senegalese President Macky Sall, arrived at Hangzhou’s Xiaoshan International Airport. The two countries will be attending the summit.

Sall was invited in his capacity as the chairman of the New Partnership for African Development. He says he believes the G20 Summit will instill new energy in the global economy, especially to the economic development on the African continent. More leaders are due to arrive today. They include the heads of Indonesia, Singapore, Brazil, Turkey and South Africa.
