And China's achievements at the Paralympics are being recognized, by those who were instrumental in bringing the Games to Rio. The head of that country's Olympic Committee, Carlos Nuzman was among the notables offering congratulations to China's success.

"Athletes from around the world competed at the Pralympics. Some of them had no Paralympic experience, and they achieved good results and won medals. In recent Paralympics, countries like China have seen an increase in the number of medals won. It shows the growth of the sports industry for the disabled. Not only in Rio, but also in London and Beijing, China have had great success, and those are crucial to the development of the country's sports," Nuzman said.

"I read a local report about China's training system on Paralympic athletes. I know experts will guide the athletes in choosing sports, not only based on the interest of themselves but the talents they have. It helps athletes show off their best abilities. I think it's great," said Manuela Sangalo, Brazilian journalist.

"China have many athletes, and they are very disciplined. They are cultivated and open to the outside world. They like to talk and that adds to the competition," said Carla, 2016 Rio Paralympics volunteer.
