Rugby might be getting a bit safer after a head guard scientifically proven to provide impact protection was launched in London on Monday. The Neuro Protection device, or N-Pro for short, is the world's first, and only, sports head guard with a CE-marked Medical Device classification.

The N-Pro, developed by husband and wife team Mark and Dr Sandra Ganly, incorporates propriety defentex technology which is designed to reduce the G-Force energy transferred to a player's head during impact which is one of the major factors in sports-induced brain injuries. The head guard manages the G-Force through its multi-layer construction, reducing the energy transferred to the brain by up to 75% compared to current head guards on the market.
