French Ligue 1: Midfielder signs 4-1/2 deal to play in French capital

To football transfer news now, where Julian Draxler's long-standing gripe with Wolfsburg is now over. The German international was looking to be shipped out from the Bundesliga side, and is on his way to the French Capital. Wolfsburg confirming they have sold their mid-fielder to Paris Saint Germain. 

The move was imminent after the 23-year-old went public with his desire to leave the club. No financial terms of the deal were given, but reports claim it was between 36-and-40 million euros. Draxler agreed to a four-and-a-half year deal to make the move to the Parisienes.

Signing the World Cup winner will help the French champs as they currently sit third in Ligue 1, and must also face Barcelona in the last 16 of the Champions League. Draxler was a highly sought after commodity with Arsenal, Liverpool and Juventus also showing interest in his services. The midfielder' signing is contigent on him passing a physical, once the new transfer window opens at the start of the new year.
