Beijing, Manila agree to cooperate on trade, investment

Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang has visited Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte's home city of Davao, where the two oversaw the signing of agreements on trade and foreign aid.

Wang's trip covered the specifics of a recent agreement between the two nations for six years of cooperation in trade and investments.

The deals signed during Wang's visit reportedly cover support for infrastructure and training in the area of agriculture.

China recently committed to finance at least three big-ticket projects in the Philippines worth three-point-four billion US dollars.

The Chinese Vice Premier attended an economic cooperation forum between the two countries on Saturday. He keynoted the event saying the two countries are making big strides in co-operation.
