Once poverty-stricken, Queshan County in central China's Henan Province has become a thriving violin production base in China thanks to determined efforts to eradicate poverty through industrial development. It might be hard to believe, but about 2,600 former farmers in a small county in Henan, central China are actually producing about 80 percent of middle to high-end violins, and 40 percent of all violins, violas, and cellos, in China.
