Tanzanian expert: Politicization not helpful to trace novel coronavirus origin

Politicization of coronavirus origin tracing is not helpful to fight the highly contagious disease of COVID-19, said Dr. Elisha Osati, former president of the Medical Association of Tanzania, noting that the world should work together to tackle the pandemic.

The cumulative caseload of confirmed COVID-19 infections across the world has surpassed 200 million. However, instead of holding hands together to bring the virus under control, the issue of tracing origin tracing has become more politicized by some U.S.-led Western countries.
