UN CBD secretariat hails China's efforts in biodiversity

An official from the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has hailed China's efforts to preserve biodiversity over the years. The Deputy Executive Secretary of the CBD David Cooper said the upcoming Kunming Declaration can create more clarity on commitments to biodiversity. Cooper said maintaining biodiversity and ecosystems is crucial that requires comprehensive planning, adding that Beijing has accumulated plenty of expertise in biodiversity conservation over the years, which can benefit other nations.
